Our organisation is managed and supported by vets, a number of which have donated to our funds – see a list below.
All donations will be given a South African Revenue Service (SARS) Section 18A receipt on request in order to receive the tax benefit of the donation.
Donation Options
- Make donation to the Rhino and Conservation Fund or other funds
- Support the Student Bursary Fund or Student Book Fund
- Become a regular contributor by means of a debit order
- Cede an endowment or insurance policy
- Leave a bequest in your will.

Payment Methods
We will gladly accept credit card donations via GivenGain (link below).
Alternatively, you may deposit your donation into our bank account through an Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) or make a direct deposit into our bank account (details below). Please use your Surname/Organisation name and Fund choice as a reference.
Credit Card Payment
The only mechanism we have for accepting credit card payments is via GivenGain. Please click on the ‘Donate’ button below to be taken to their website. You will be able to leave instructions for the allocation of your donation in the ‘Add a message of support’ box.

Step 2 – Send us the Details
Please use this form to send us details of your donation and how you would like to the funds to be allocated. We will contact you in response.
Bequests and Policies
Should you wish to cede a policy or leave a bequest you only need to include the name and address of the Foundation in your documentation. Funds received in this manner go into the General Fund of the Foundation.
If you wish you can state a specific area in which you would like to have your funds allocated and the Foundation will heed your wishes as far as practically possible.
Should the amount exceed R100 000, you can specify a specific name and purpose for you donation e.g The Joe Soap Fund for Research into Sheep Disease and the Foundation will ensure that your wishes are implemented and the funding source is acknowledged.
Vets Donating Money to the SAVF
Several veterinary practices throughout South Africa regularly donate money to the Foundation to support our objectives. The money is mainly directed towards animal disease and well-being and in particular research projects relating to these matters. The Foundation acknowledges these practices by recording their names, and where applicable, their websites alphabetically below.
